2. Check-in and check-out
2.1 What it does
Clock In and Clock Out record when your shift starts and ends. The app verifies your location and identity (e.g. with a selfie) so that check-in/check-out records are reliable.
Important rules:
- Check-in window: You can check in from 15 minutes before shift start until shift end time. You cannot check in earlier or after the shift has ended.
- Check-out: After checking in, complete the shift with Clock Out at the end. If you don’t clock out within 15 minutes of shift end, the record is marked “incomplete”.
- Location: If a geofence is set for the branch, you must be inside it to check in or out.
- Profile: Required profile fields (phone, emergency contact) must be filled before you can check in.
2.2 Clock In — How to do it
- On the Today tab, tap Clock In for the shift you want to start. You can also open the Shifts tab, select the shift, then tap Clock In.
- The Check-In Gate screen opens. The app verifies your location (about 10 seconds). Wait until location is stable.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to take a selfie. Keep your face clear and well lit.
- Tap the Clock In confirm button.
- When you see “Checked In Successfully”, check-in is complete.
Success: On the Today screen the shift shows as “Checked In” until you clock out.
2.3 Clock Out — How to do it
- On the Today tab or the Shift Detail screen, tap Clock Out.
- On the Check-Out Gate screen, complete location and selfie steps if required.
- Tap the Clock Out confirm button.
- When you see “Checked Out Successfully”, check-out is complete.
Success: The shift shows as “Completed”; your clock-out time is saved in Timesheets.
2.4 If something goes wrong (Check-in / Check-out)

| Complete Your Profile | Phone or emergency contact is missing. | Fill required fields in Profile → Personal Details, save, then try Clock In again. |
| Location Not Verified | Location could not be obtained or you’re outside the branch area (geofence). | Enable location permission, make sure you’re near the branch address, and try again. |
| Photo too dark or blurry | Selfie wasn’t clear or bright enough. | Take the selfie again in better light with your face clearly visible. |
| No open time log | A clock-out record already exists for this shift. | Check your record in Timesheets. |
| Incomplete | You didn’t clock out within 15 minutes of shift end; the system marked it automatically. | Clock out as soon as you can. If you can’t, create a Request Correction from Timesheets. |
