How do you move from WhatsApp and Excel scheduling to ROTA?

Most teams start out planning shifts on paper, in Excel or over WhatsApp, where it is hard to tell who works when and every change has to be announced to each person separately. Moving to ROTA takes three steps: add your staff and branches (one by one for a small team, or in bulk from CSV or Excel), build the weekly schedule, and publish it. Setup takes three steps: define your team and branches, assign shifts, and publish the schedule. Small teams can add staff one by one, while larger ones import them in bulk from CSV or Excel. Your staff need no separate training — everyone sees their own shifts in the ROTA mobile app.

Can I change the schedule after publishing, and how does the team find out?

Yes. You can edit the time or branch of a shift that has not started yet, with a reason note. To move a shift to a different person, you cancel it and create a new one. Affected team members get an in-app notification, plus a push notification if they have notifications enabled.
