Clock-in rules that fit your operation

Paper sign-ins and manual records are unreliable and spark overtime disputes. ROTA applies the clock-in rules you set, using location, time windows and, when enabled, a selfie record to make team activity easier to review.

Flexible location verification (geofence)

Restrict clock-in to a set radius for on-site shifts, or let field teams clock in from anywhere — with location still recorded.

Time window

Clock-in opens against the shift time, so early or late entries follow your rules.

Optional selfie record

When you enable the selfie rule, add a visual record to clock-in.

How it looks in the product

How it works

  1. Open your shift

The employee opens that day’s shift.

  2. Clock in according to your rules

Clock-in follows the location, time-window and selfie rules configured for that shift.

  3. Automatic timesheet

Worked hours and overtime are totalled automatically.

Frequently asked questions

How is clock-in verified?

Location and time-window rules are recorded as you configure them; when the selfie rule is enabled, a visual record is added too.

Can I change the location rule?

Yes. In strict mode clock-in only opens near the defined location; in flexible mode an outside clock-in is flagged to the manager; field teams can clock in from anywhere.

Is overtime calculated automatically?

Yes. It is totalled automatically from worked hours, with no manual month-end math.
