Delete your ROTA account

Choose the path that matches your situation to delete your account and the personal data associated with it. In-app and email options are explained below.

In the app

  1. Open the Profile tab in the ROTA mobile app.
  2. Go to Settings → Delete account.
  3. Read the notice, type DELETE, and confirm your request.

By email

You can also start the request by emailing us from your registered address. This path is open to every user; you do not need to be able to access the app. You do not need to reinstall the app to start the request.

Send an account deletion email

Include the email address of your ROTA account. Do not send your password, government ID, payslip, or bank details.

Employer / organization owner

Self-service deletion is blocked while you are the only active owner of any organization. Assign another person as owner in each of those organizations, or write to privacy@rota-app.com for a manual deletion or organization-closure review. The system does not automatically make someone else an owner, and it does not automatically delete the organization. In-app deletion continues only when every organization you own has another active owner.

What is deleted?

  • Account and profile information is stripped of direct identifiers.
  • Your profile photo and selfie files associated with the account are deleted.
  • Future shift assignments are removed and access to the account is disabled.

What may be retained?

  1. Access to the account is disabled when the request is accepted.
  2. During the 30-day waiting period you can cancel the request by writing to privacy@rota-app.com.
  3. After the waiting period, account and profile information is stripped of direct identifiers; where a technical link to records that must be legally retained is necessary, it may be kept only for the duration of the applicable legal retention period, in a form that does not directly identify you. Once those periods end, the remaining link is anonymized or the data is destroyed under our applicable data retention and disposal policy.
  4. The device identifier used for push notifications is disabled, is not used to send further notifications, and remains access-restricted for the same legal or security audit period as the associated account ledger; no single fixed period applies because it depends on the applicable obligation.
